Nokia 6.1 Plus officially announced, as rebranded Nokia X6

Nokia 6.1 Plus officially announced

Back in May we saw HMD Global unveil the Nokia X6 as a China exclusive handset. Now due to popular demand, the mid-ranger has been rebranded as the Nokia 6.1 Plus and is making its way globally, starting with Hong Kong and now reaching India.

According to HMD Global, the Nokia 6.1 Plus is the company's "most awaited phone", featuring a 5.8 inch FHD+ display with a 2280 x 1080 pixel resolution, 64GB of internal storage, a dual (16MP+5MP) camera setup on its rear, a 16MP camera on the front, microSD storage expansion, a 3060mAh battery, fingerprint scanner and a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor.

The device will have “secure and up-to-date” software through Google's Android One program, and comes with Android Oreo onboard. Nokia has also included AI camera enhancements, which will take advantage of the dual camera system on the Nokia 6.1 Plus for some cool depth effects.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus has been priced at ₹15, 999 Indian Rupees (or $230), with sales starting on August 30.
