Nokia 5.1 Plus officially announced, as rebranded Nokia X5

Just like the Nokia 6.1 Plus, HMD Global also unveiled the Nokia 5.1 Plus for the global market. The latter is a rebranded version of the Nokia X5 and aims to offer an affordable alternative to the 6.1 Plus at a more modest price.

The Nokia 5.1 Plus features a 5.86 inch HD+ display with a 1520x720 pixel resolution, dual (13MP+5MP) rear cameras, an 8MP front camera, 32GB of internal storage, a fingerprint sensor, a 3060mAh battery and an octa-core MediaTek Helio P60 processor with 3GB of RAM.

The device will have “secure and up-to-date” software through Google's Android One program, and comes with Android Oreo onboard. Nokia has also included AI camera enhancements, allowing blurred background effect on the front camera, while the dual camera setup in the rear is capable of producing portrait photos when working together.
