Apple releases iOS 12 Developer Beta 10 and Public Beta 8

Apple has released the Developer Beta 10 and Public Beta 8 for iOS 12 at the same time. With a final release of iOS 12 expected in September, releasing both the public and developer betas on the same day would suggest minor changes since iOS 12 Beta 9 which was released a few days ago.

The close release of these two betas could also suggest that Apple is wrapping up the Golden Master  (GM) build of iOS 12 in preparation for the next-generation iPhone launch event expected to take place next month. The final build of iOS 12 generally released a week after that event to all consumers with compatible handsets.

While the main focus of iOS 12 is to improve overall performance and stability of Apple's mobile OS, the update also adds some new features to the platform, including Memoji, revamped FaceTime and ARKit 2

If you are a developer registered in Apple's Developer Program, you can download the iOS 12 Beta 10 IPSW file from developer.apple.com or get the latest beta OTA update directly on your device by heading to Settings > General > Software Update.

Users who have signed up for the iOS 12 public beta can download the update from beta.apple.com manually, or by heading to Settings > General > Software Update on your device if you are already running the public beta.
