Google Maps updated for iOS and Android

Google Maps updated for iOS and AndroidGoogle Maps has been updated for iOS and Android with several new features and improvements to the navigation app. The update is currently being rolled out to both platforms, and Google has confirmed that everyone should have received the update in the coming days.

Among the new features is a  redesigned Explore tab gives users recommendations on restaurants, bars, cafes around where they are. Another improvement is the new trending lists from local experts and Google's algorithms, which will allow Maps users to make the best choice when it comes to finding the best food for their tastes. Android users will also have the option to track how many of the restaurants featured in the trending list they have visited.

The new Explorer tab for Android devices also lets users track top events and activities in their area. It will show photos and descriptions of these activities, allowing users to filter them by category.

For those who have location history enabled, they will gain a 'Your match' feature, allowing them to better select restaurants and bars based on their history and tastes. By telling Google Maps what food and drink you like, it will offer better recommendations for you in future.

The new 'For You' tab is meant to keep users informed about what's happening in their neighbourhoods. This will help you identify all the new restaurants and bars that open around you. This feature is currently only available on Android to users in the United States, U.K., Canada, Australia, and Japan.

The updated versions of Google Maps for Android and Google Maps for iOS will be rolled out this week. You can check for updated versions directly on your devices through their respective app stores or by using the following links:
