Microsoft is steadily progressing toward finalizing Windows 10, and releasing it later this year. The new platform is bound to be accompanied by a slew of new devices, including some new flagships from Microsoft. The following renders give us a glimpse of what we can expect.

The renders imagine a Microsoft Lumia 940, accompanied by a larger Microsoft Lumia 940 XL. Both handsets offer a unibody aluminum design with a sleek look and high-end specs. The Lumia 940 features a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution, while the Lumia 940 XL will feature a 5.7 inch display with a 1440 x 2560 pixel QHD resolution.

Both handsets offer similar internal hardware including a 25MP PureView camera with a Zeiss lens, triple-tone LED flash, 4K video recording and third-generation OIS. The front-facing camera is a wide angle 5MP snapper. The 32GB version will be powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 SoC, while the octa-core Snapdragon 815 SoC will drive the 64GB and 128GB versions of the phone. 3GB of RAM is inside. Intel Real Sense will bring 3D capabilities to the handset.

The Lumia 940 XL is envisioned with 4GB of RAM and a larger 3950 mAh battery along with digital pen support similar to Microsoft's Surface Pro lineup.

Both models are expected to be launched alongside Windows 10 for phones, and you can see the renders in detail in the following slideshow.
