Motorola Moto X (2014) for U.S. Cellular receives Android 5.0.1 update

Motorola Moto X (2014)The second-generation Motorola Moto X on U.S. Cellular is now receiving the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. The unlocked 2014 Moto X, along with the Verizon and UK models are also being updated to the latest version of Android.

Installing the update will bring various enhancements to your device, including lock screen notifications, the new 'Recent Apps' menu, Lollipop Material Design, Project Volta, the ART compiler and more.

The update is being pushed out OTA (over-the-air) and you will receive a notification when it is available for your device. The update will be pushed out in stages, so you may not receive the notification immediately. If you have not received the update in a couple of days, you can try manually checking for it under Settings on your device.

When you do receive the OTA notification, its best that you connect to WiFi to avoid using your data allowance. It is also advised that your battery is appropriately charged before installing the update.
