LG G3 for AT&T receives Android 5.0.1 update

LG G3The LG G3 for AT&T is now receiving Android 5.0 Lollipop . This follows the rollout of the new software for LG G3 models from other parts of the world, which started last year.The update which is around 690MB in size, brings Android 5.0.1, D85020f software version and LRX21Y build number.

Installing the update will bring various enhancements to your device, including lock screen notifications, the new 'Recent Apps' menu, Lollipop Material Design, Project Volta, the ART compiler and more.

The LG G3 is the company's current Android flagship. It features a 5.5 inch touch display with a 1440 by 2560 pixel resolution, 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 16 megapixel rear camera, a 2.1 megapixel front camera, and a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM.

The update is being pushed out OTA (over-the-air) and you will receive a notification when it is available for your device. The update will be pushed out in stages, so you may not receive the notification immediately. If you have not received the update in a couple of days, you can try manually checking for it under Settings on your device.

When you do receive the OTA notification, its best that you connect to WiFi to avoid using your data allowance. It is also advised that your battery is appropriately charged before installing the update.
