Lenovo P70 launches in China, with 4000mAh battery and 46 days of standby

Lenovo P70

Last December, we heard about the Lenovo P70, a smartphone which packed a powerful 4000mAh battery that promised a record breaking 46 days on standby. The handset has just been launched in China for a price of 1399 yuan (roughly $220), which finally allows users to put Lenovo's claim to the test.

The Lenovo P70 features a 5 inch display with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution and low power draw technology, 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, 4G LTE connectivity, dual-SIM and a 1.5GHz quad-core 64-bit MediaTek processor with 1GB of RAM. On the software front you get Android 4.4 KitKat with Lenovo's VIbe UI on top.

Lenovo has even impressively managed to keep the device compact in spite of its generous battery, with a thickness of 8.9 mm and a 149 grams weight. While Lenovo wouldn't likely bring this handset to the U.S. market, we wonder if you will consider picking one up if the opportunity presented itself to you.
