HTC One (M7) Developer Edition receives Android 5.0.2 with Sense 6.0

HTC One (M7)

Even though HTC has admitted that it won't be able to keep its deadline to bring Android 5.0 Lollipop to its handset before the 90 day window, its still hard at working building Lollipop for its newer models. The HTC One (M7) for Sprint most recently started receiving its Lollipop update, and now the latest version of Android is headed to the HTC One (M7) Developer Edition.

The update which comes with Android 5.0.2 and HTC Sense 6.0 is reportedly 702.52MB in size, and brings the 7.17.1540.7 version number. According to the official changelog, the update will bring the new Lollipop lockscreen experience with actionable notifications on the lockscreen. You also get the new multitasking, which allows you to quickly view and scroll through your recent apps and Chrome tabs. With Lollipop, your HTC One will also feature a search function within Settings to help you quickly find what you are looking for.

As usual, the update is being pushed out OTA (over-the-air) and it is recommended that users connect to Wi-Fi before downloading the update. It is also recommended that you have your battery fully charged before updating. In case you have not received the OTA notification, you can try checking for it manually under Settings. If you don't receive the OTA notification immediately, give it a few days, as such updates tend to roll out in stages.
