HTC Desire 826 officially announced with Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed

The entry-level HTC Desire 320 wasn't the only new smartphone the company has announced today. The HTC Desire 826 was also announced as the first in the series to run Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

In terms of design, the HTC Desire 826 is quite similar to the HTC Desire EYE. However it is a bit larger and heavier, measuring 158 x 77.5 x 7.9 mm, and weighing 183 grams.

The HTC Desire 826 features a 5.5 inch touch display with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution, 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 13MP rear camera, a 4MP UltraPixel camera in front, a 2600mAh battery and a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor with 2GB of RAM.

The handset is expected to launch in China, and may also be offered in the United States, based on its listing on the website.
