Dell Venue 8 7840 goes on sale at Best Buy: world's thinnest tablet, first with Intel RealSense

Meet the Dell Venue 8 7840, an Android tablet which takes on the Apple iPad Air 2 as the world's thinnest tablet. It is also the first device to feature Intel RealSense camera

Intel's RealSense allows you to scan real-life objects and get a usable (or rather, printable) 3D scan; it also makes it possible to tell depth information and with an open SDK. The problem with it was that it was not really available to users of mobile devices.

Besides that, the Venue 8 7840 features a 8.4 inch display with a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution, 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD and a 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 processor with 2GB of RAM. On the software side you get Android 4.4 KitKat.
