Lumia Moments for Windows Phone

Microsoft has released Lumia Moments for Windows Phone to the Windows Phone Store. With Lumia Moments, users will be able to extract photos from a video they have captured on their Windows Phones. In order to use this app you will need to own a Nokia Lumia 830, Nokia Lumia 930, Nokia Lumia Icon or Nokia Lumia 1520.

Press the Search button on your Windows Phone, tap Vision  and then scan the following barcode by pointing your device camera toward it

When pictures are captured using Lumia Moments, they are divided into two possible categories - Best Frame produces a single photo that you save as a Living Image, and watch it in motion on your camera roll or on Nokia Storytellers. Action Shot lets you add a strobe effect or a blur to turn a picture into a, well, action shot.

The update was originally meant to be a part of the Lumia Denim update. However, by moving the app to the Windows Phone Store, Microsoft will be able to update its functionality and fix bugs, without users having to depend on firmware updates.
