Apple iTunes 12.1 released for Mac OS X with notification center widget, and improved syncing

Apple has updated iTunes for OS X to version 12.1, which brings a new notification center widget, along with performance improvements for syncing with your iOS devices.

The new widget allows you to see what's playing, as well as control playback of tracks directly from the notification center. Additionally, you can also purchase songs directly from the widget when listening to iTunes Radio.

The update is available to download through the Mac App Store. Simply open the store app and click on Updates. Feel free to leave us a comment if you discover anything else which may have not been mentioned in the changelog for the update.
