Samsung Galaxy S5 receives Lollipop in MalaysiaSamsung Galaxy S5 owners in Malaysia can now update their handsets to Android 5.0 Lollipop. The update is not yet available OTA, but can be installing on Samsung's flagship smartphone when it is connected to your computer through Samsung Kies.

Before you update your Galaxy S5 make sure you have the latest version of Kies installed on your computer. If you dont, you can download Samsung Kies 3 by following the source link below.

Also make sure you have at least 3GB of free space on your Galaxy S5. At the same time, ensure that your data is fully backed up and that your battery is fully charged before you begin the update process.

According to Samsung, apps opened for the first time after the update may be sluggish "due to the initial optimization process required with the Android 5.0 OS." Additionally, some apps installed on your Galaxy S5 might need to be updated from the Google Play Store or Samsung Galaxy App Store in order to be optimized with the latest build of Android. And after the update, the amount of system memory on your Galaxy S5 will decline by at least 950MB.
