Alcatel OneTouch PIXI 3 announced, with Android, Windows Phone and Firefox compatibility

Alcatel OneTouch PIXI 3

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is set to kickoff in Las Vegas on January 6th and promises a look at things we can look forward to in 2015. It looks like Alcatel has a few interesting things in store for us including a smartwatch and an OS-independent smartphone.

The smartphone is a new generation of Alcatel's PIXI series and the company promises that the new PIXI 3 handsets will be compatible with not one, but three different operating systems - Android, Windows Phone and Firefox OS.

The Alcatel OneTouch PIXI 3 will be available in four different sizes - 3.5 inches, 4.0 inches, 4.5 inches and 5 inches. Other than for the 3.5 inch model, all others will feature 4G LTE connectivity.

Its still not clear how Alcatel will work this out, but we should find out more at the upcoming CES conference. Additionally, Alcatel OneTouch promises a simple way for cross-device integration between the smartphones and office / home PCs, offering a "more familiar environment". Unfortunately, the company once again isn't clear on how they plan to accomplish this.

With details being scarce at this time, we will have to wait for the CES conference to find out more..
