Archos introduces affordable smartphones and tablets ahead of CES

The CES conference is scheduled to start in a few days, and it will become really hard for hardware manufacturers to stand out. This is especially an issue when promoting budget devices which dont make the headlines. Archos is one such manufacturer who has just introduced a new budget phone and three affordable tablets.

First we have the Archos 50 Diamond Android smartphone. The device features a 5 inch full 1080p HD display, 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 16MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera, dual SIM with 4G LTE connectivity, a 2700mAh battery and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with 2GB of RAM. The design is quite standard, but it comes in bright attractive colors and is reasonably slim at 8mm.

Archos has also announced a refreshed Helium phone line alongside its new Diamond phone.

Archos 45b Helium

The Archos 45B Helium 4G features a 5.0 inch display with a 720p resolution, 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 8MP rear camera, dual-SIM connectivity and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with 1GB of RAM.

Archos 50b Helium

The Archos 50b Helium 4G features a 4.5 inch display with a 854 x 480 pixel resolution, 4GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 5MP rear camera, dual-SIM connectivity and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with 512MB of RAM.

Archos 50c Helium

The Archos 50c Helium 4G features a 5.0 inch display with a 854 x 480 pixel resolution, 4GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 5MP rear camera, dual-SIM connectivity and a MK6732M processor with 512MB of RAM.

We then move on to the series of Archos tablets, which come in an array of sizes and are unique for featuring dual SIM 4G LTE connectivity at their price range.



The Archos 70 Helium 4G which has a 7 inch display with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution. You also get 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 2MP rear camera with LED flash, a 0.3MP front camera, a 2500mAh battery, dual SIM LTE connectivity and a MediaTek MT8732 processor with 1GB of RAM.

Archos 70 Helium

The Archos 80b Helium 4G which has an 8 inch display with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. You also get 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 2MP rear camera with LED flash, a 0.3MP front camera, a 3600mAh battery and a MediaTek MT8732 processor with 1GB of RAM.

Archos 80b Helium

Last but not least is the Archos 101 Helium 4G which has a 10.1 inch display with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. You also get 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 5MP rear camera with LED flash, a 0.3MP front camera, a 6500mAh battery and a MediaTek MT8732 processor with 1GB of RAM.
