T-Mobile is rolling out the Android 5.0.1 software update for its Nexus 6 and Nexus 5. The new software will brings the LRX22C build of Lollipop to both handsets. T-Mobile has a few requirements necessary before either model will start downloading the update.

Before installing Android 5.0.1, you need to make sure that your Nexus 5 or Nexus 6 is currently running software build LRX210. You also need to make sure your battery is fully charged and that you are connected to Wi-Fi before initiating the update. The Android 5.0.1 update is only 13.3MB in size, but it will be offered over the cellular pipeline at a later time.

The update is being sent out in stages, so you may not receive it on your device immediately. When the update is available for your Nexus 5 or Nexus 6, you should receive an OTA notification. You can try manually checking for the update by heading to Settings > About phone > System Updates > Check now on your device.
