LG G3

The LG G3 in Europe is reportedly receiving the Android 5.0 Lollipop software update. This will allow owner's of LG's flagship to enjoy the newest features and improvements from Google's Mobile OS and LG's user interface.

With Lollipop, your LG G3 will gain access to the new Material Design, rich notifications on the lockscreen, a new battery saver mode with improved battery life, support for user profiles on phones, better security, improved performance with the ART runtime and several more.

The update first started rolling out to LG G3 users in South Korea, and the OTA update was leaked out so other users could enjoy an early treat of Lollipop. In Europe, the German variant is reportedly one of the first to be updated to the latest version of Android, as the update continues its roll out across other regions.

With Europe receiving the update, its time to turn our eyes to the US and wonder how long it will take the carriers to check and validate the Lollipop update for their branded handsets. Hopefully the LG G3 for Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile will get to enjoy the Lollipop treat for the holidays.
