Google Nexus 6 vs Samsung Galaxy Note 4

Bigger seams to be the better option these days in the smartphone market, as Apple has also stepped past its traditional size on its newest phones. However, two of the biggest handsets you will likely encounter are the Google Nexus 6 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

The Nexus 6 is a Motorola built smartphone closely resembling the Motorola Moto X. Besides offering top of the shelf hardware, the Nexus 6 showcases the most up-to-date experience in Android 5.0 Lollipop. It goes up against Samsung's top smartphone, the Galaxy Note 4 which may not offer Lollipop just yet, but makes up for that with its S Pen stylus and a slew of specialized apps and services.

On the hardware front both the Galaxy Note 4 and Nexus 6 are almost evenly matched, with Quad HD displays, and powerful Snapdragon 805 processors with 3GB of RAM. However the Galaxy Note 4 does have the upper hand in a bunch of categories, including camera quality, battery life and call quality. Meanwhile the Nexus 6 has the more polished and consistent overall user experience, as well as Motorola's signature sturdy build quality.

The pricing may also play a factor when comparing both handsets. The Nexus 6 costs around $650 outright and is available directly through most carriers in the US. Meanwhile the Galaxy Note 4 costs considerably more at nearly $800.
