Motorola One now available in the US

The is now available in the U.S. through Best Buy for $399.99. The handset is sold unlocked for GSM networks like AT&T and T-Mobile, and available in either black and white.

The Motorola One features a 5.9-inch notched display with a 720 x 1520 pixel resolution, 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, dual (13MP+2MP) rear cameras, an 8-megapixel front camera, a fingerprint scanner, a 3000mAh battery and a Snapdragon 625 chipset with 4GB of RAM.

What's great about the Motorola One, is that its part of Google's Android One program. What this means is that the device comes with stock Android pre-installed and is assured timely software updates for at least 2 years after launch. While the handset currently runs Android 8.1 Oreo, it should receive the Android 9 Pie update very soon.

While the resolution may seem quite low, you should easily get one day of heavy use with this device on a single charge when combined with its 3000mAh battery. What is somewhat disappointing is Best Buy's asking price for the handset. While the same device is sold in India for around $220 on Flipkart, Best Buy is charging almost double that cost from U.S. customers.
