Lenovo Z5 Pro announced with a slider design for Chinese market

The Lenovo Z5 Pro was announced today with a 6.4 inch bezel-free AMOLED display, an in-display fingerprint scanner, and a slide-out front camera. Lenovo has outfitted the device with a Snapdragon 710 chipset with 6GB of RAM and offers the smartphone with 64GB or 128GB of storage.

The handset offers a dual-camera setup on the rear made up of 24-megapixel and 16-megapixel sensors from Sony. You get all the camera AI features you would expect from a modern smartphone. On the front, you get a 16-megapixel primary camera coupled with an 8-megapixel infrared camera for face unlock functionality.

The handset offers a 6.39 inch Super AMOLED panel from Samsung with a 2340x1080 pixel resolution. Lenovo has outfitted the Z5 Pro with a 3350mAh battery, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and dual-SIM support. You get speakers with Dolby Atmos support, but no 3.5-mm headphone jack on this device.

Lenovo has managed to keep the price low on their new handset, offering the Z5 Pro at an affordable 1998 Yuan (around $290) in China. We don't expect the handset will be offered in Western markets, but would you be willing to buy one if it was?
