Samsung sues its Russian Brand Ambassador for using an iPhone X on camera

Ksenia Sobchak, a Russian politician, TV anchor, journalist, socialite and actress is also the Brand Ambassador for Samsung in Russia. She was sued by the company for a sum of $1.6 million for using an iPhone X during a television interview.

As Samsung's Brand Ambassador, she is contracted to use her Samsung device in public. However according to a report by Mirror, Ms Sobchak was seen on seen on television, and at some of the hottest social events in the capital city of Moscow, using her iPhone.

This seems to have become a common trend among celebrities, to get paid huge sums of money by companies to represent their brands, only to go back to their regular products and ignoring their obligation to the company that paid them to promote their product.
