OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T receive OxygenOS updates

OnePlus has released OxygenOS open beta updates to the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T. While these are not the Android Pie updates that the OnePlus users are waiting for, it brings some useful improvements to both handsets.

Gallery
  • Supported new gesture to close picture by sliding down in Gallery app.

Community
  • Community notices added as a feature;
  • New feed for following community members;
  • Added more options to share threads;
  • Stickied comments displayed on the app;
  • General user interface tweaks and bug fixes.

If you are already running an open beta version of OxygenOS on your OnePlus 5 or OnePlus 5T, you should receive an OTA (over-the-air) update directly on your device. If not, you can head over to OnePlus for a step by step guide on how to manually flash the update on your handset. Please keep in mind that once you join the beta channel, you will no longer receive stable OxygenOS builds.
