The Microsoft Surface Studio 2 is now official and according to the company, is the most powerful Surface device they’ve ever built. This all-in-one (AIO) system like its predecessor has the unique ability to transform into a massive drawing tablet, making it a niche device with unique uses.
With the new Surface Studio, Microsoft has made several improvements claiming it is 38% brighter and with 22% more contrast than before. The new Surface Studio also has 4,096 levels of pressure for its display, 50% more graphics power thanks to its new NVIDIA chip, and comes with 2TB of SSD storage.
What's strange is that Microsoft has chosen not to adopt 8th gen Intel processors for the Surface Studio 2, despite adding them to their Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2. Instead the Surface Studio 2 features 7th generation Intel Core processor.
The Surface Studio 2 is now available for pre-order at a starting price for $3500. The AIO is expected to be released on November 15, later this year and is currently only available for online purchase.
