Boost Mobile launches Coolpad Illumina Android Oreo Go edition smartphone

Boost Mobile has just announced its first Android Oreo Go edition smartphone, the Coolpad Illumina. While Android Go is set to receive quick updates like Android One smartphones, Android Go handsets belong to the low-end tier in terms of price and specs.

The Coolpad Illumina features a 5 inch display, 8GB of internal storage with microSD expansion, a 5 megapixel rear camera, a 2 megapixel front camera, a 2150mAh battery and a quad-core Snapdragon 210 processor with 1GB of RAM.

For a limited time, Boost Mobile customers can pick device up for just $39.99 (plus tax), but the Coolpad Illumina will eventually retail for $79.99 (plus tax).

While the Coolpad Illumina does not aim to impress spec-wise, its a great option for someone in the market for a very cheap smartphone that runs a relatively new version of Android.
