Motorola Moto G5S receives Android 8.1 Oreo update

Motorola has started rolling out the Android 8.1 Oreo update for the , according to a new post on the company's support page for the device. The device was first set to receive the update a couple of months ago, but it seems that the soak test for the update never took off.

Motorola - Android Oreo UpdateThe Android Oreo update for the Moto G5S Plus is first rolling out to users in Brazil, and we expect Motorola will extend the rollout to other regions in the coming weeks.

Besides bringing the usual features you'd expect from Android 8.1 Oreo, the update should also include the August security patch along with some additional performance and stability optimizations.

The Motorola Moto G5S Plus features a 5.5 inch LCD display, 64GB of internal storage with microSD expansion, dual (13MP+13MP) rear cameras, an 8MP front camera, a fingerprint scanner, a 3000mAh battery and a Snapdragon 625 chipset with 4GB of RAM.
