HMD Global purchases PureView brand, reunites it with Nokia

HMD Global recently purchased the PureView trademark from Microsoft, thus reuniting the Nokia and PureView brands, ensuring a possible Nokia PureView device in our future.

Since the debut of the Nokia 808 PureView, the 'PureView' brand from Nokia has been associated with amazing cameras. When we saw Nokia exclusively switch to using Windows Phone, the company also released an equally impressive Nokia Lumia 1020 which carried the PureView brand on its camera. When Microsoft purchased Nokia's mobile division back in 2013, they also received the trademark to use the PureView brand on their own devices like the Microsoft Lumia 950 and the Microsoft Lumia 950 XL.

HMD Global would later purchase the rights to produce Nokia phones back from Microsoft, and as of August 23rd, they have also gained access to the PureView brand once again. Until now, the PureView brand has been used on the following devices.
