Apple releases iOS 12 Beta 9 and eighth beta for watchOS 5, tvOS 12 and macOS 10.14 Mojave

Apple has released the ninth beta for iOS 12, along with the eighth betas for tvOS 12, macOS 10.14 Mojave, and watchOS. Those registered in Apple's Developer Program can download and install the updates on their compatible Apple hardware. This release comes a week after Beta 7 was released for all platforms following by iOS 12 Beta 8 was seeded out to developers.

Despite the hiccup with iOS 12 Beta 7, Apple has polished their mobile OS in an attempt to ready its final public release next month. Apple's changes for iOS 12 are meant to improve the overall stability and performance of the platform, while adding a few new features to round it up. ARKit will be updated to version 2, the new Memoji feature is intended to enhance the existing Animoji offering, and there is also a revamped notification system. The group FaceTime with support for 32 users has been removed for now, and aimed at a future iOS release.

Apple macOS 10.14 Mojave Beta 8

New features on Apple's desktop operating system include a 'Dark Mode', a new Stacks feature that helps reduce clutter and organizing your desktop, and the foundation for 'Project Marzipan' which aims to bring iOS apps to the desktop.

Apple watchOS 5 Beta 8

Besides the usual bug fixes with every beta release, the new version of watchOS adds several new ways for users to stay active and healthy with Activity challenges and a new workout detection. You also get a smarter Siri experience, a brand new Podcast app, and walkie-talkie functionality.


Apple tvOS 12 Beta 8

The new version of tvOS will introduce support for Dolby Atmos for supported devices, new screensavers, a zero-sign-in feature, and brand new functionality to assist developers in building apps for tvOS. While there are not many new features, we expect the update will also include several under the hood improvements and bug fixes.
