Gigaset unveils new smartphones at IFA 2015

Gigaset, the company that purchased Simen's former mobile phone division has introduced three new handsets in Berlin at the IFA 2015. The Gigaset ME, the Gigaset ME Pure and Gigaset ME Pro which were unveiled, are made from an alloy consisting of stainless steel and lightweight aluminum.

The Gigaset ME features a 5 inch display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution which results in 441ppi pixel density. You also get 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a fingerprint scanner, 4G LTE connectivity, a 3000mAh battery, dual SIM functionality and a 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor with Adreno 430 graphics and 3GB of RAM. Additionally you get a a 16MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera, both featuring an f/2.0 aperture, allowing you to take pictures in low-light conditions. Android 5.1 Lollipop is preinstalled with Gigaset UI on top.



The Gigaset ME Pro is a premium version of the Gegaset ME. It offers a 5.5 inch display, 20MP rear camera, and a 4000mAh battery.



The Gigaset ME Pure is a lower price variants of the Gigaset ME. It offers 16GB of internal storage with microSD, a 13MP rear camera, and a Snapdragon 615 processor with 2GB of RAM. The battery has been expanded to 3320 mAh.



The Gigaset ME is now available in the UK, Germany, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Italy, Poland and Turkey. It is priced at the equivalent of $530 USD. The other two models will be released at a future date.
