Microsoft introduces new Nokia 105

The Nokia 105 was first introduced back in 2013, as an ultra-affordable basic phone. Today Microsoft is introducing a refreshed version of the handset aimed at first time phone users, and customers looking for a durable, "reliable back-up phone for travel and fun.

The new Nokia 105 shares the same name, and doesn't differ too much from the model that's now over 2 years old. It features a 1.45 inch color display with a 128 x 128 pixel resolution and runs the Series 30 UI. The phone comes with enhanced call clarity and "audio that’s 20% louder", while offering an extended phonebook capacity of up to 2000 contacts. There's also a torchlight, a microUSB charging connector, and an 800 mAh removable battery that can provide a talk-time of up to 15 hours, or a stand-by time of up to 35 days. The Nokia 105 also comes with two pre-installed games: Snake Xenzia and Bubble Bash 2.'

The Nokia 105 will be available around the world starting this month, in black, white, and cyan. It has a single SIM, and a dual SIM variant, both of which will be sold for around $20 before taxes and subsidies.
