Lenovo S60 launches in India at affordable price

Today, Lenovo has launched its new mid-range smartphone called the Lenovo S60 in India. The handset is priced at ₹12,999, which equates to around US$204, and you get some great value for what you spend.

The Lenovo S60 features a 5 inch display with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution, 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 13 megapixel rear camera, a 5 megapixel front camera, Cat. 4 LTE connectivity with up to 150MBps download speeds, a 2150mAh battery, dual-SIM and a 64-bit 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor with 2GB of RAM.

Unfortunately on the software side, you don't get the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop. Instead the handset comes with Android 4.4 KitKat coupled with Lenovo's Vibe UI 2.0. While a Lollipop update for the Lenovo S60 is promised in the near future, there is no exact time frame, so it will likely take awhile to arrive.

The Lenovo S60 comes clad in plastic, but bares a striking resemblance to the Apple iPhone 6. Just like the iPhone 6, the S60 comes with a thin streamlined profile, measuring only 7.7mm thin and has a relatively light 128g weight.
