Mortal Kombat X is not a direct port of the console version, instead it has been built specifically for touch. Those who have played Injustice or WWE Immortals on iOS or Android should be quite familiar with the gameplay. You start off by selecting three characters to play with (interchangeable via tag-in mechanic) and you fight by tapping on the screen. One tap is a light hit, a swipe is a hard hit, tap with 2 fingers to block.

Well, it may lack the combo depth and various special moves of the full game, but it will make up for that with gory fatalities, super moves (x-rays), and an early introduction to the cast of Mortal Kombat X. Additionally its also advised to try out the mobile version of Mortal Kombat X if you plan to purchase the console or PC version down the line.

In addition to the persistent Faction Wars score, console owners will be able to unlock new costumes and earn rewards on Mobile that will then be transferred to the console game through your official WB account.

The game is free to play, which naturally means that the developer threw in a lot of stuff to unlock, most of which is accessible via in-game currency. This is divided into three – silver koins, gold koins, and souls – the latter being the rarest one to attain by means of playing the game and, of course, the one used to purchase the goodies in the game (top-tier characters). In other words, it seems that this game will require you to do some more mikro transaktions if you are serious about playing it.
