Both Samsung and HTC announced their new flagships on the same day at the recent Mobile World Congress. Now it seems that both manufacturers also plan to make their handsets available to the public on the very same date.

Earlier today, HTC announced pre-order and availability details for the HTC One M9. Now Samsung has also announced that the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge will be available for pre-order on March 27, with the launch date set for April 10 - the same day the HTC One M9 goes on sale.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 features a 5.1 inch Quad HD display, up to 128GB of internal storage, a 16 megapixel rear camera, a 5 megapixel front camera, a 2550mAh battery and an octa-core Exynos processor with 3GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge features nearly identical specs, but has a curved edge display, and a slightly larger 2600mAh battery.

Both models will be available in Black Sapphire, White Pearl, and Gold Platinum and will have 32GB, 64GB, or 128GB of storage. Both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge will be available on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and Verizon, while the Galaxy S6 will be sold on Boost Mobile, Cricket Wireless, and MetroPCS.

Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge on Verizon

For Verizon customers seeking the Samsung Galaxy S6, the full retail price is $599.99, $699.99 and $799.99 for the 32GB, 64GB and 128GB models respectively. With a signed contract, the subsidized prices are $199.99 (32GB), $299.99 (64GB) and $399.99 (128GB). Those three prices are after a $50 mail-in rebate. With Verizon Edge, you will pay 24 monthly installments of $24.99 for 32GB, $29.16 for 64GB and $33.33 for 128GB.

Verizon customers looking for the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge can pay the full retail price of $699.99, $799.99 and $899.99 for 32GB, 64GB and 128GB, respectively. With a signed two year pact, the prices are $299.99 (32GB), $399.99 (64GB) and $499.99 (128GB) after a $50 mail-in rebate. Lastly, with Verizon Edge the 24 month pricing is $29.16, $33.33 and $37.49 each month for 32GB, 64GB and 128GB respectively.

Verizon will begin accepting pre-orders on April 1st and the phone will be available in stores on April 10.

Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge on AT&T

AT&T has only revealed its pricing for the 32GB Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge. On the Next 24 plan, the Galaxy S6 is priced at $22.84 a month over 30 months, which works out to a total price of $685.20. The Galaxy S6 edge on is $27.17 a month for 30 months. Our abacus tells us that the total is $815.10. AT&T is giving buyers of both models $50 off the price of a Samsung Gear Circle Bluetooth Stereo headset purchased via AT&T Next.

Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge on Sprint

While Sprint has yet to announce its two-year contract pricing or the full retail pricing for the two models, the carrier is offering the 32GB Samsung Galaxy S6 on lease for $80 a month. That includes the cost of the phone and service. The 32GB Galaxy S6 edge is $85 a month for the phone and service. For $5 a month more, Sprint customers can lease the 64GB variant of either model. For $10 a month more, you can lease the 128GB version of the Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 edge.

Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge on T-Mobile

T-Mobile will be offering the 32GB Samsung Galaxy S6 for $679.92, the 64GB model for $759.99, and the 128GB version for $859.99. With the monthly installment plan, a well qualified customer can put $0 down and make 24 monthly payments of $28.33 for the 32GB model. The 64GB variant of the Galaxy S6 will cost you $99.99 down and 24 monthly payments of $27.50. The 128GB model will also require 24 monthly payments of $27.50, but you will need to put down $199.99 first.

For the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge, the retail prices for the 32GB, 64GB and 128GB models are $779.76, $859.83 and $959.83, respectively. Well qualified T-Mobile subscribers can put $0 down and make 24 monthly payments of $32.49 for the 32GB model. The 64GB and 128GB versions of the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge will each cost you $31.66 a month for 24 months. The down payment for the 64GB model is $99.99, and for the 128GB variant you will need to make an upfront payment of $199.99.

According to T-Mobile, those who purchase one of the new Samsung flagships on their network will get 1 year of Netflix for free, with access to the "entire Netflix streaming library". Usually a year of Netflix will cost $107.88, so this is a welcome addition.

Best Buy

Best Buy is offering customers who preorder either the Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge on AT&T, Verizon, or Sprint a free Samsung wireless charging pad (regularly priced at $59.99). The offer runs from March 27 to April 11. On-contract prices for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge start at $200 and $300, respectively.
