Lenovo MIIX 300 officially announced with Windows 8.1 and an affordable price

Lenovo MIIX 300

The Lenovo MIIX 300 is a Windows 8.1 tablet which was unveiled at this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The device promises to offer "pocket-sized productivity" and comes at an affordable $149.

Its portability is a result of its compact form factor, and measurements of 130mm x 215mm x 9.3mm, combined with its 360 gram weight. The tablet may not pack the most powerful hardware around, but its still a healthy combination of features that should be ideal for day to day productivity.

The Lenovo MIIX 300 features an 8 inch IPS display with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 5MP rear camera, a 2MP front facing camera and an Intel Atom quad-core Bay Trail T processor with 2GB of DDR3L RAM. You also get a single watt speaker, micro USB 2.0, audio-combo jack, and up to 7 hours of battery life.

On the software side you get Windows 8.1 with Bing which includes all of Microsoft's services including OneDrive, Skype and Microsoft Office. In fact, the first year subscription to Office 365 is free with the device. The tablet should also be eligible for a free upgrade to Windows 10 later this year.

The Lenovo MIIX 300 will go on sale in July for $149 like we mentioned before. Would you consider picking one up ?
