Samsung Galaxy Note Edge receives Android 5.0 Lollipop

Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Lollipop updateJust a few days after pushing the Lollipop update for the Galaxy Note 4, Samsung has started releasing Android 5.0 Lollipop for the Galaxy Note Edge. Currently the Android 5.0.1 update is rolling out to (SM-915G) handsets in Australia and Singapore, but it shouldn't be long before the update is available in more regions around the world.

The update is currently being pushed out through the Samsung Kies software, but should eventually arrive OTA (over-the-air). Once you update your handset you will be treated to the Samsung's new TouchWiz user interface, which has been flattened and polished to match Lollipop's Material Design guidelines. You also get the new lockscreen notifications, improved battery life courtesy of 'Project Volta' and the redesigned multi-tasking view which includes Chrome tabs.
