LG G3 for Sprint receives Android 5.0 LollipopThe LG G3 for Sprint is now receiving the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. The update is being pushed out to Sprint customers OTA (over-the-air) and in stages, so it may be a few days before the update is available for your device. When you do receive the update notification, customers are advised to ensure that their batteries are appropriately charged and that you are connected to WiFi to save on your data allowance.

With Android Lollipop, your handset will be treated to several new features and improvements including the new Material Design inspired user interface, Project Volta for improved battery life, Android TV support, improved lock screen notifications, the new "Recent Apps" menu which includes Google Chrome tabs, and improvements that allow low-vision and color blind users to use the phone.

Other new features include an integrated location menu to easily activate GPS, Wi-Fi and mobile networks, enhanced Google Hangouts messaging featuring a larger number of updated emoji, and upgraded Google Mobile Service apps that automatically backup photos and videos.
