Asus ZenFone C and ZenPower 9600 announced

This week, Asus has introduced a new Android powered smartphone along with a new portable battery charger. Both devices are part of the company's Zen Series.

Asus ZenFone C smartphone

The Asus ZenFone C, is a slightly larger successor of the Asus ZenFone 4. The handset measures 136.5 x 67 x 10.9 mm and weighs 149 grams. The device features a 4.5 inch display with a 480 x 854 pixel resolution, 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 5MP rear camera, a secondary VGA camera for video calls, a 2100mAh battery and a 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor with 1GB of RAM.

The ZenFone C runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat and has the Asus Zen UI on top. You can purchase the handset in various colors, including red, white and black, and it has been priced at a very reasonable $95.

Asus ZenPower 9600 portable battery charger

The Asus ZenPower 9600 portable battery charger (or power bank) comes with an in built 9600mAh battery, like its name suggests. Its capable of charging most smartphones at least three times with that capacity, and it too is available in an array of colors (black, silver, red, cyan, etc.). Unfortunately the pricing has not yet been revealed by Asus.
