Xiaomi Mi Note Pro officially announced with Snapdragon 810 and 4GB of RAM

The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro was announced today as the Chinese company’s new flagship phablet, alongside the Xiaomi Mi Note. The Mi Note Pro is the more powerful between the two, featuring a QHD display, Snapdragon 810 processor and 4GB of RAM.

The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro features a 5.7 inch JDI panel with a 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution, which results in a 515 ppi pixel density. The display also features Sharp’s negative display tech, which means it will consume very low energy. On its rear is a 13MP camera from Sony, which features optical image stabilization, while its front features a 4 MP UltraPixel camera with large two micron pixels. The phablet is powered by a 3090mAh battery, which will have some to manage the QHD display and the powerful 64-bit octa-core processor.

All this power has been packed into a relatively thin 6.95mm body with an aluminum frame and trimmed bezels for an all-around compact handset. The exact dimensions are 155.1x 77.6 x 6.95mm, with a weight of  161grams, which happens to be the same as the Xiaomi Mi Note. Additionally the device comes with 64GB of internal storage and includes dual SIM support.

On the software side you get Android 5.0 Lollipop, which has been coated with Xiaomi’s MIUI version 6. The company also demonstrated a new one-handed mode and for the Mi Note Pro and a reader mode, which adjusts the display brightness based on your environment.

The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro is priced at ¥3300 (around $532) and is set to go on sale in March. This is actually a decent asking price, considering the power this phablet offers. Would these specs and price make you consider purchasing a phablet from Xiaomi?
