Sony SmartWatch 3 (stainless steel)

Sony had an interesting CES 2015 event, demonstrating the company's progress over the past year. During CES 2014, Sony introduced the SmartWatch 3 and the SmartBand, and chose to unveil updates to both wearables at this year's event.

Sony announced a new stainless steel version of its SmartWatch 3 at CES 2015. Other than the new material, everything else on the wearable remains identical to when it was released. Its specs include the 1.6 inch TFT LCD transflective display with a 320 x 320 pixel resolution, 4GB of internal storage and a quad-core processor with 512MB of RAM. The 420mAh battery promises 2 days of life with "normal" use.  Sony is also introducing a holder for the SmartWatch 3 so that you can keep and customize it with different straps that suite the occasion - any 24mm one will work with it.

Sony SmartBand with ROXY

The SmartBand SWR10 has undergone a few design changes, and has been relaunched as a limited edition model in collaboration women's fashion brand ROXY. The cobalt blue wristband also has a curvy shape, unlike the original it is based on.

Both the SmartBand and the SmartWatch 3 can be managed and tracked on a new website that Sony has built to compliment its Lifelog app. Sony is also opening its API to third-party developers, so that they can enhance the experience on its smartwatches.
