Office Touch for Windows 10 demonstrated

The Microsoft Office Team has posted a video showing off the upcoming version of Office Touch for Windows 10. Office Touch is made up of new touch optimized versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneTouch, which have been built from ground up as universal apps.

The video is hosted by Microsoft Office team members, Jeremy Chapman and Ben Walters, who discuss some of the features in these Office apps. During the video, they explain unique features in Windows – like inking support, Insights and TellMe.

These new Office touch apps will come pre-installed for free on phones and small tablets running Windows 10, and available to download from the Windows Store for other devices.

The latest build of Windows 10 Technical Preview already features early touch-based version of OneNote. Other touch-friendly Windows 10 Office apps are expected to be released in preview in the coming weeks, while the all new Office 2016 is expected sometime in late 2015.
