HTC One M8 successor to be unveiled on March 1st, at MWC 2015

HTCHTC has just sent out an invite to join the company for an unveiling at the upcoming MWC 2015. The invite reads, "Utopia in Progress" and asks us to join HTC to see what's next. Its more than likely than HTC will use this event to unveil its successor to the HTC One M8.

HTC's upcoming flagship is currently codenamed HTC Hima, and is expected to feature a QHD (1440 x 2560) display, octa-core Snapdragon 810 CPU, an Adreno 430 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The handset may also feature a camera setup similar to the HTC Desire EYE, but rumors suggest that the rear camera maybe upped to 20.7MP, while the rear camera remains at 13MP. The reported 2840mAh battery, maybe small in today's standards, but we are assured that HTC will make the right optimizations to ensure the best performance for the customer.

On the software end, the new HTC flagship will come with Android 5.0 Lollipop and the company's HTC Sense 7 UI out of the box.
