Garmin VivoFit 2

Garmin has had some success with wearable devices, especially the GPS watches it has produced since 2003. The company parlayed that success into fitness trackers, and released the Garmin Vivofit last year. This year the company has introduced its successor at the ongoing CES.

Garmin VivoFit 2, priced at $129.99 is a fitness band which promises a full year of battery life. Another version which includes a heart rate monitor is priced at $169.99. The tracker will alert you when it is time to get up and move and a backlight allows the wearable to be useful in the dark. The activity tracker will analyse your workouts, while the new stopwatch function will keep time. You can set personalized fitness goals, and track the amount of calories that you've burned. The device is water resistant to 164 feet.

The VivoFit 2 will be offered in various colors and will be released in teh first quarter of the year.
