Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact - Video Review

The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact was released around two months ago, alongside the Xperia Z3 flagship and the Xperia Z3 Compact. Sony's newest tablet comes with an 8 inch display, packs top-of-the-line hardware and has a water resistant body, alongside some of Sony's newest software features.

There is no doubt that Sony has put a lot of effort into the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. The tablet is extremely compact, light and water resistant, with an outstanding battery life.

Its only true shortcoming is its poor availability as the tablet is only available in certain markets across the globe. The most basic version of the slate - the 16GB Wi-Fi-only one - retails at £329 (~ $526) in the UK, whereas the 32GB Wi-Fi-only version and the 16GB LTE/Wi-Fi one can be yours for £379 (~ $606) and £ 429 (~ $686), respectively.

The closest rival to the Xperia Z3 Compact Tablet is the newest Apple iPad mini, which offers a more premium (though non water resistant) build with a slightly lower price. Customers may also like to consider the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 or the LG G Pad 8.0 which come at more affordable rates.

In any case, the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is a good all rounder, and wont disappoint in features, performance and looks.
