Gionee W900 announced with two 1080p displays

GioneeChinese manufacturer Gionee has announced an interesting new smartphone called the Gionee W900, which happens to be the world's first smartphone to feature two 1080p displays

The W900 comes with a clamshell design rarely seen on modern smartphones, but still a popular choice in China. Its internal and external displays both measure 4 inches and offer 1080 x 1920 pixel resolutions with a 550 ppi density.

Other specifications include 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, a 2050mAh battery and a 1.5GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. The handset weighs 172 grams and is 14.8 mm thick when closed. On the software side you get Android 4.4 KitKat.

At this point there is no word on pricing or availability. but its more than likely that the Gionee W900 will be an exclusive in China, where it's been already certified by authorities.
