Microsoft Lumia 535 released in India, coming to the UK

The Lumia 535, which happens to be the first Windows Phone from Microsoft Mobile is now available India in its dual-SIM form. The handset has been priced at 9,199 INR ($149) and is available in black, white, green and orange.

The Lumia 535 features a 5 inch display with a 540 x 960 pixel resolution, 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 5MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera a 1905mAh battery and a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor with 1GB of RAM. On the software side, you get Windows Phone 8.1 combined with the latest Lumia Denim update.

The Lumia 535 is the successor to devices like the Lumia 520 / Lumia 521 and the Lumia 530. It features a front camera similar to the one found on the camera centric Lumia 730 / Lumia 735.

India has become the first market to sell a Microsoft Mobile device and we expect the Lumia 535 to be offered in other emerging markets as well. However the handset is also expected to make its way across other markets around the world including UK, where it is listed as "coming soon".
