Google Nexus 4 receives Android L Release Preview ROM

Google Nexus 4 by LG

As you may know Google has released a Developer Preview of the upcoming Android L Release to developers who own a Nexus 5 or a Nexus 7 (2013). However the company has also released the source for other Nexus devices. indicating that they may receive a preview release of as well. However the XDA team has managed to port the L Release for the Nexus 4 and have put together a working ROM.

Check out the following video which demonstrates the Android L Release Preview ROM running on the Nexus 4. The video is only three minutes long, but things seems quite stable for an "initial release".

[NOTE] It is not recommended that you try this on a device you use regularly. This is a port based on a preview release and it will likely come with bugs... Please note that you are proceeding at your own risk, and this website or the ROM developer will not be responsible for device malfunction or loss of data.

[NOTE] This is not an official update for your Nexus 4 and will likely void your warranty

[NOTE] Make sure your backup all your data accordingly before you proceed. This guide requires you to perform a full wipe of your data.

Requirements Make Sure your device is rooted. The following guide assumes that you have the CWM custom recovery installed. You should be able to install the ROM using TWRP, but we recommend CWM for this ROM.
