Angry Birds: Star Wars 2 announced, with collectible telepod figures

Angry Birds Star Wars was released last November for iOS, Android, Windows Phone and BlackBerry. It was also released for Windows and Mac platforms and grew to become the most popular title in the Angry Birds series.

Now Rovio has teamed up with Lucasfilms yet again for Angry Birds Star Wars II which lets players experience the stories from the Star Wars prequel movies with dozens of your favorite characters and all new powers.

The game is set to launch on September 19 and will even feature telepod figures. These figures will be available through Hasbro and will be scanned into the game by your device's camera when placed on top of a smartphone or tablet

Additionally Angry Birds Star Wars II will allow you to even "Join the Pork" side and play as the bad piggies if you are a fan.

Angry Birds Star Wars will likely be available across all platforms when it is released on September 19th, will you be downloading it when it lands?
