Samsung confirms Galaxy S IV availability in the U.S.

Samsung has officially confirmed that their Samsung Galaxy S IV flagship Android smartphone will be available in the U.S. through seven carriers and seven retailers in April. The Galaxy S IV features a 5 inch Super AMOLED touch display with a 1080 by 1920 pixel resolution, up to 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 13 megapixel camera capable of 1080p HD video capture, a secondary 2 megapixel camera for video calls, 4G LTE connectivity, NFC, and is powered by a  core processor or a (Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor) with 2GB of RAM.

The Galaxy S IV is already available for pre-order through AT&T and U.S. Cellular. Meanwhile Verizon, T-Mobile, Cricket and C Spire will have the handset by the beginning of April. Sprint has just announced that the Galaxy S IV will be available for pre-order tomorrow and that it will launch on April 27th for $249 with a two-year contract.

The Galaxy S IV will also be available through U.S. retailers: Best Buy, Best Buy Mobile, Costco, RadioShack, Sam’s Club, Staples, Target and Wal-Mart.

While Samsung hasn't revealed the pricing of the handsets, we should have that information in the weeks ahead.
