Nokia Lumia 920 (PR 1.1) vs. Nokia 808 PureView - Photo Samples

The Nokia Lumia 920 recently received the PR1.1 software update which was meant enhancements to its imaging capabilities along with other improvements. Now armed with its improved software it get set for its second round against Nokia’s top camera-phone the Nokia 808 PureView

The photos demonstrate various lighting situations and the 808 PureView is capturing photos in 8 megapixels to match the 8.7 megapixel sensor on the Lumia 920.

The original image has been captured with the 808 PureView, and the cropped versions are the 808 PureView on top an the Lumia 920 below

• Bright Sunlight – The image detail on the 808 PureView is much clearer due to the oversampling. The Lumia 920 shows brighter colors buut the image appears to be noisy

• Indoors, natural light – The Lumia 920 seems to come out on top here as a result of its floating lens technology
