The iPhony 5 - GooPhone i5 maybe China’s only chance at Apple’s new iPhone

Many of you would have come across the GooPhone i5 by now, or as we like to call it, the iPhony 5… The device which runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean has brazenly chosen to knock-off the upcoming sixth-generation iPhone.

But it doesn’t end there. The device manufactures claim that “the device is a result of independent research and development”, and they are ready to sure Apple if they make the next iPhone available in China.

So does this iPhony have what it takes to take on the mighty iPhone? well it actually has some impressive specifications to show off. The device features a 4 inch IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixel HD resolution, an 8 megapixel rear camera, a 1.3 megapixel camera for video calls and is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core NVidia Tegra 3 processor with 1GB of RAM.





So do you think the GooPhone i5 did in fact inspire the design of Apple’s next iPhone? Does this mean Apple will have to pass of on the biggest smartphone market or face the same Samsung’s fate?
